this is crazy
I know it sounds kind of crazy folks but it is true. i know this because it happened to me. Apparently our civics are valuable enough to steal and then set up with stolen V.I.N's. Yes it is true. Yesterday a couple of Milwaukee's finest came to my house. They had a fax from police in Ontario Canada. Apparently I am sharing my V.I.N. with a red civic up there(mine is Inca Pearl). Has anyone ever heard of this happenning before? how wierd is this anyway?
ANY car can be stolen, and driven away. My brother had a new eclipse with the immobilizer key hot wired and stolen, its not impossible, just difficult. It is fairly easy in most cars to bypass the ignition blocking circuitry (i.e. get power to the spark plugs for ignition and starting), the hard part is getting the car to turn over (starter turning). You can run the starter straight off a secondary battery to the terminals, and there she blows, had to do something similar with a jeep wrangler once.

I read in off topic on this site someone had a 2k1 stolen with somekind of universal key. I'm guessing some gadget that searched the computer for the key code, found it and started it. There are also remote starters... they're really so you can start the car from under the hood while you're working on it without getting in the car, Bavarian Autosport sells them for Bimmers, but I do not know if the key has to be in the ignition to start it. If someone wants it bad enough, they will get it.
My ex BF.... Bought two stolen Supra's ....and recked them both. If you cant figure it out the car stealing business is the reason he is an EX.

In South Africa a woman was arrested after 2 guys tried to carjack her. She was stopped at lights when two guys tried to get into her BMW. She only had a f****** flame thrower installed under the drivers side of the car and fried the 2 guys. Over in South Africa its lethal even to stop at traffic lights ij case you get carjacked

It is extremely easy to get a key made for ANY Honda. At my dealership every single time we lock ourselves out of a car that has an aftermarket alarm installed, we just make a dummy key using the car's VIN#. It's easy and it takes less than 20 mins, and you don't even have to have the car present to make the dummy key. The only cars we can't do it on yet are the new Accords, because we are still waiting for the new PGM encoders from Honda to arrive.
Edit: BTW, there is no 'master key' that can open any Honda. But if you can use a VIN# to cut a dummy key in minutes, who needs a master key?

Wouldn't the flame throwers damage your paint? or melt your side skirts?
