Great, my car has shop gremlins....
Ahh yes, it doesn't work until you get to the dealer, then it behaves. It sucks. My transmission has been fighting me with 2nd gear for a while, I finally took it in, the guy drove it with me in the car, it was a little sticky he said, but not like I was feeling. So its going to sit overnight, and he's going to start it cold first thing in the morning and see what it does. He would have gotten me a rental car, but I was able to get a ride to work, so I'll save the favor in case I need it (if he has to get parts or something). Since it's worse when you first go in the morning, hopefully they'll find it and get it fixed.
Oh... And he liked the feel of my shift ****... he also hates the rubbery feel of the POS stock one and hopes it gets changed. On another shift **** note, there is a FP shift ****. Looks to be aluminum and shaped like the ITR ****, but anodized gunmetal with the 'FP' engraved on top of it. I know nothing about price or availablity, but it is out there should anyone want to find it.

I'm under the assumption it's the bushing problem that is on the service bulletin that is on the 2k1's... All the symptoms are the same as what is described on the TSB. I'll find out at 9 tomorrow morning and I will post the findings. And it's not quite brand spankin new... In those 4 months I put 8700 miles on the car. But most of it is highway, which is why it baffles me that 2nd is the problem.

It was NOT the bushings. The link between the pedal and the slave cylinder was out of alignment and they think the clutch might not have fully disengaged. It's fixed now, and they looked at the clutch and said it was fine. It must have barely been out of line.
