Shocker...comparison test in new Automobile issue

The Novemeber issue of Automobile magazine has a comparo between the BMW 330ci and the new Infinity G35 Coupe.
They basically stated that the G35 has better steering(!!) and a more dynamic chassis.

That Infinity would be able to challenge, let alone best the benchmark BMW in any area is, aptly put, a shocker.

I bet people will still look to the Bimmer as their preference simply 'cause it's a Bimmer and it may hold its value better.

As for myself, I like the E46 330ci but prefer the previous gen E36 cars--especially the E36 M3!!...well, now I would seriously look at the G35 as a legitimate alternative.

i saw something on tv a while back about this (one of the car magazines). It was the g35, 330ci, and caddy cts comparison. in their test the g35 beat the other cars in every category. the only thing they didnt like was the fact that the g35 didnt have a manual transmission option. but infinity said they will be offering a six speed soon

i'm sure the Z performs just as good, if not better than the G35 anyway. I second that.

it better seeing as how its lighter, has a stiffer chasis, a better ratio 6 spd gear box, better suspension/tires and a more powerful engine. .. oh and it costs less too.

The infinity is loosely based on the skyline. Skylines are known for their great handling and cornering, thus the infinity has superior steering capabilities...just kuz a BMW costs thousands more doesn;t mean it is that much better.

I would too, but it does not have ANY backseats I have actually been looking at either an E46 330ci or an E36 M3 and have actually saved some money towards a used E36 M3.

I would sooo love a 350Z but HAVE to have a usable backseat...this is why I had to buy a 7th gen Civic and could not have a Prelude. And no, they didn't have any more 6th gen Si's and yes I wanted one of those.

I am liking the idea of a brand-spankin' new G35 coupe, tho

The G35 is related to the skyline (same platform), I also though the G35 was just an Infinity version of the new Altima (same platform again), am I right?

Just looking at the numbers, even the Altima could beat the BMW (of course just looking at speed, not handling and OF COURSE not considering the cheap built quality of the nissan).

A few weeks ago a v6 Altima raced me (I didnīt go with it, I know when I donīt stand a chance) and I was really impressed how fast the car is, looking at it seems like it is quite heavy but from the start the car is really fast.
