body kit---Bomex. removed my front crush panel. rear is fine

wing---Terminator 2. illegally tall and wide. "cant" see other cars headlights. sticks out farther than body.

thats freaking PERFECT! I see no problems there.

hood---Class Glass carbon fiber. cant have hood pins. must have stock hood latch.

its not their fault you bought a cheap-o carbon fiber hood that doesnt use the stock latch position. You dont have a NASCAR racer, and no you dont need hood pins.

windshield banner---cant be any longer than 5" tall. mine is 5" in the middle and 7" and the ends.

Well YEA! If you have 8" if visable area out of your front windshield, your vision is hampered JUST a tad dont you think?

tail lights---clear tails..no red reflector.

what state WOULDNT nail you for that? They sure as hell will in CA. Besides, who has clear tails anymore anyway? Although i find it humorous that they nailed him for NOT haveing altezza lights!

back up lights---my inners are painted body color with a small circle where the back up lights are...have to have all BU light visible.

Although i could care less, this is a redicilous thing to do to the car anyway. The lights are there for a reason, and they are clear white for a reason.

rims---17". cant have more than 1 size bigger than stock. i have a z so stock was 16". not according to their records...

i looked into this, and he didnt properly plus size, which is a ricer nono. Thats where the problem was, it can be more then 1 size OFF

illegally low--- car has to fit up on rack without dragging. garage guy said some corvettes cant even do that. they have to back them on it. cant do that with the bomex rear.

Why am i willing to bet you wouldnt have gotten called on that if you were able to back it up like a vette? Rice and your dumb *** body kit strike again eh?

LIGHTING this is where they ripped me up....
neons---Street Glow. cant even have underbody neons INSTALLED on car.
neons---Wal Mart. have installed in my hood scoop. same as above
neons---Knight Rider. on bumper, under the lip from the hood. same as above
dome lights---APC. obviously you cant have aftermarket dome lights. i can see why....i mean im always reading about crashes caused by dome lights.
trunk light---Auto Zone. who checks the trunk light? "not stock not legal". luckily they forgot to check my glove box. geez.
corner lights---APC. red light facing front. come on...its pink
EXHAUST
hole---custom dual exhaust. guy did a crappy welding job and its leaking
noise---Thrush glass packs. worn in packs are loud. obviously mine are TOO loud

Neons? APC? GLASS PACKS?! Yes, not only did this kid deserve all infrzctions, his car should have been burned on the spot.

Only gay thing out of that whole deal was

Bags should be a "no no" no matter what. Other then that, im willing to bet that if either
A) his car wasnt 1" from the ground or
B) they were able to back the car up whatever ramp he was talking about

they wouldnt have called him on that either.

Some of the stuff may be ricey and downright illegal (huge wing, no relectors on clear tails, front red lights, etc...) but c'mon...it's getting fvcking ridiculous!!!

OK, yes that case is extreme, but the shear fact that anything but bone stock is frowned upon is rediculous. Basically your car can only be fixed with OEM parts. Example, your car with 95000 miles blows a shock, you replace all of them with Konis, you now need to get some 'special' sticker. Just rediculous. You can't put bigger rims on the car... Well why the hell not? What difference does it make. I can see where slamming the car may be a problem, but a small drop should not matter. If you're scraping pavement all the time, theres obvously a problem. Lighting I can understand, I can almost understand the exhaust. But as long as it isn't obnoxiously loud and it passes emissions, I don't see the problem. I wonder how some of the guys with real race cars feel. The guy who put lighter rims on his 911, or the guy who put a stiffer springs and wider tires on an M3, I wonder what they say to that. And I bet you theres more rednecks driving around in WV with jacked up trucks with mud tires and straight pipes than there are full blown ricers like in the example. Over all this is a stupid law and I give it .
