"cb radios" in our cars

i frequent the highway a lot...(AND I WANT TO AVOID SPEED TRAPS) and i was wondering...

how much does a radio (installed) cost in our cars...like $150 right?

and

do we need an antenna? (a big one? any type of antenna?)
(cause i dont like antennas)

THANKS for your help!

i saw in jc whitney once a device that you hook up to your stock antenna and it uses that for the cb antenna..

There are wires in the back window, in addition to the defroster grid that serve as the antenna for the radio. This is instead of an ugly thing sticking up out of the fender or a euro antenna on the roof.

I had a CB in my old car but I haven't bothered putting one in my new one. This thread has sparked my interest again, and that antenna adapter from JCW looks interesting. I didn't want to put a big ugly antenna on my nice Civic but that solves my problem.

The CB I currently has also has a PA function, but it is a huge ugly trucker style one. I want a nice little black one that can fit in my aftermarket stereo installation dash kit pocket (did that make any sense? The opening is 6 15/16 inches wide by 1 1/2 inch tall (and 3 3/4 inches deep, but I can cut that out). Does anyone know of any good CBs with PA function that may fit?
