Pontiac Solstice
Not that i usually like Pontiac, but have you seen the solstice yet?
I called pontiac and spoke to one of the guys in design (i actually got through) who said the car should be out sometime in 2004
Specs:
240hp 2.2liter DOHC Supercharged 4-cyl
6-speed manual (the tranny from a corvette)
Rear Wheel Drive (thank god!)
Manual top/windows/door locks (keep the cost down)
the coupe version is shown for looks, but they dont know if it will be produced or not... but the convertible is coming
Price: $20k-$25k

It's an Opel Speedster with a slightly redone body. I don't know what they did to it mechanically, but the Opel can haul. I should think this will too....

The reason it isn't that expensive is because they cut costs by using existing parts from other cars, engine, chassis, etc. It is a nice looking car tho.

Sayin that I VIP toured the Pontiac fairfax plant this weekend and had dinner with the Head of design engineer, I know what the real car is going to look like and what the futuer holds for it. But , I was sworn not to tell sorry guys ....
I'm glad to see some domestics that are worth a second look. That car is AWESOME LOOKING, and if they can keep up this sort of design treatment, and make the cars reliable, I'll gladly buy domestic

Besides it's an entirely diferent power plant, the Opel has a 2ltr NA 4 cilinder engine, this one is 2.2 and supercharged, lets hope they keep it that way and don't go putting in a Sunfire engine.............
