just saw one insane accident
I get out of school at 2 pm, and im driving home on the taconic state parkway. now i drive between 50 and 60 all the time on a highway, so i even get old people passing me.
a bit up the road toward my house i see all the cars that flew by me doing 70 or 80...they had slowed down a lot. then i see the ambulance and cops.
the middle and left lanes were closed, and as i rolled by i saw an italian kid in a wifebeater and jeans standing there...then i look over and theres skid marks in the dirt and an overturned new ford taurus sitting on the guardrail.
now my college is PACKED with kids of all ethnicities thinking that hondas and other economical family cars are the fastest things out there. this kid musta just got out of school like me and was flying down the highway in mommy's family sedan. i just looked over at him standing there and shook my head.
the moral of this story: DO NOT HIGHWAY "RACE". if you wanna race, find a totally empty straight road in the middle of nowhere. or go to a track.

how do you conclude the kid is racing just cause you see some skid marks and his car upside down? and how are you going to classify him as an italian kid?
you might as well say "I saw a black man walking up the street with a television in his hand, he must've stolen it!" jeesus christ!
1) if you see a teenager in a wifebeater next to some car wreckage, it means nothing. he could be a witness helping the police out by telling what he saw. I once witnessed an SUV run into a Geo Metro, to say the least it wasn't pretty, and this was outside Taco Bell when I was working one morning. I got interrogated by the cops after dialing 911 so I had to be at the scene of the accident to tell 'em what I saw.
2) just because you drive slow, and people, old and young, pass you by... don't assume they're racing. In fact, don't assume anything, it makes an *** out of "u" and "me".

how do you know that this kid was racing? just cuz you drive like an old person on the highway (i.e 50-60) and everyone passes you doesn't mean that they are all racing. thats just retarded. and maybe the kid was the one involved, and standing out there lookin at his car thinkin WTF am i gonna do now. thats how i was when i wrecked my car...don't just assume that cuz he was going faster than you on the road is indicative of him racing his car.

2) just because you drive slow, and people, old and young, pass you by... don't assume they're racing. when did i say everyone else was racing?...80 is pushing it for regular driving but its still reasonable. its just not for me.
