Stay with Vic or get a Mustang STV Cobra 03
Hey guys,
I made a post earlier this week about buying a car to fix up, well i got another idea, if you guys had the chance to trade in your Vic for a SVT Cobra Mustang 03 would yo do it ? Well my mom's boyfriend is a owner of a Ford Dealership and he told me they are finally going to be able to sell out SVT Ford's line and I know he will hook me up and all because he bought us a Ford Explorer so i know that he will probably just hook me, im just wondering if i should go for it or not the New SVT Cobra comes with 390 hp and 390 of tq thats a lot compared to this civic and im really thinking of doing it because i know i can get a great deal, you guys think i should go for it ?

Ford Explorer for free?
*smells fishy*
payment for SVT Cobra equalling Civic?
that would take one hell of a downpayment.
what's there to think about?
you are either extremely lucky, or a really really bad liar.

wasnt for free the explorer he bought it for my mom for her needs and i said probably the payments im not sure but i do know i can have a good down payment if i save up all i asked is would you do it or not i know i can get a car from him w/o a problem but nothing for free, and yes it will have to be a big down payment on my side but other than that i could do it with a lot of savings -=] plz dont flame me just a question
nice editing.
BTW I plan on ditching Civic for a Porsche GT2... I think I can get the payment down to about what I'm paying for the civic now... although my downpayment would have to be $200,000.
you know how ridiculous that sounds? you ORIGINAL POST was no different.

i'm not knocking on you, it's just weird why you would want to take on monthly payments while paying I guess good 70% of the car's value upfront in downpayment. Might as well buy the car outright.
Mustang has some serious problems with its body and chassis.
I'd just get a SVT Focus and start a RS conversion.
or if you HAVE to spend all that money, just buy a Corvette. hell with S2000.

My friend just got a 2003 Cobra in Mineral Grey. That is one hot stang. All he has done to it so far has added an exhaust, but he had the car dynoed and it is pushing over 406hp....not the 390 that ford claims.

just remember with those SVT's your gonna have to get everything from califonia i work on cars all day and the guys who drive those things tell me they gotta order from cali for parts that break and stuff and yah that sure dont add up for the shipping......unless your just gonna keep the car until tha warrantee is done
those cars are wicked tho they do have some serious power and would for sure add to the tickets i got now .

Definitely would trade, if it is a good deal go for it. No way a focus will ever compare to a turbocharged v8 mustang. The civic is a good people hauler, looks nice, blah blah, but the SVT cobra is another thing.
