FC3S Turbo II? Kinda old though. Don't get an integra or civic si cuz your insurance payments will be too high.

Get a 92'-95' Si Hatch, whatever year they made it, I really don't know what the motor was but can't go wrong for $4K

LOL, I wish I could have a separate "toy" car.

If you want Civic I would follow the above advice and get a 6th gen Si. I wish I had gotten one instead of my 02 for a couple of reasons:

1) Rice-ability (or whatever you want to call it) - 6th gens have been around longer so there's a lot more parts, although that's changing.
2) I've been driving for 2-3 years now, but it's only my second car. I probably shouldn't be driving a brand new one, I would feel more comfortable in a used car.
3) Parents - since they own it, they limit how much I can mod it (i.e. no engine/performance mods, so I'm stuck with aesthetics for now). With a used car I could a) buy it from them sooner and b) probably convince them to let me mod it more before I buy it from them.

I know this probably doesn't apply to you, but I thought I would throw it out there.

wanna go fast? get a mustang (5.0 lx or any gt models). what people say about them "falling apart" is BS...my car before this rice burner was a '84 5.0 (2 years younger than i am). good condition too.

of course there are a lot of haters on this site, you know the usual "domestics are crap etc. etc. etc." but what they are really saying is "i refuse to accept the fact that even a car that is 18 yrs old will destroy my civic in a race...even with NOS.

do not get a civic. if you want fast, get a muscle car.

First off, work on the grammar.

Anyhow, I would go with an integra. The insurance isn't going to be that high because it will be a secondary car on your policy. Gs-r hands down.

Mustang would be a money pit. And yes, I had a 93 gt so I know from experience.

Hmm, well i would rather have a 99-00 si as well. Only problem is they are a lot more expensive than my dx. I'm assuming that since you said something not so expensive, then that or a supra would be too much.

My suggestion is a 92-96 prelude. Even though vtec isn't until the 93 model, the regular si is still about 160 hp stock. Easy to hook up, and looks awesome. A lot of add-ons are available too. And with a price under 5, it's a great buy. Just try not to get the one with leather, it makes me sweat Anyway, the cloth ones are more comfortable too.

Good luck, I'm just trying to get out of payments, so as soon as i find a lude, it's mine!

Si's are good reliable fast cars..... but you'll pay for it....

You could always get a pretty late model Camaro Z28 or Mustang GT for thousands less than an Si, though, and use that extra money to make them even faster

just depends whether you're in to power gained from tuning a car or from a massive engine size
