jetta vr6
The new VR6 is 200hp now, up from the 174hp. It also has nearly the same amount in ft-lbs torque. It should be roughly low-mid seven second range for 0-60 I'm guessing. The 1.8T is doing about 7.5 seconds. Granted the VR6 is heavier than the 1.8T but has more output.

The new 24 Valve DOHC VR6 is running 200 HP. 195 ft-lb. My guess would be low 7's, maybe high 6's if you're lucky. The jetta is so heavy, tons of HP doesn't really help it. The base jetta curbs at 2900 lb, so the VR6 is going to be a bit heaftier than that. It's not that fast, but don't try racing it in your Civic.

Why dood?
Jettas have some kick butt options on them. You can roll up the windows without a key being in the ignition at all. And that commercial with the guy that rolled up the windows with his keys also rolls up the sunroof....sweet....
My girl bought one and I think it's a pretty cool car. Exept that it's a automatic....
Sometimes I think having an auto is a waste, but then again it's only a 2.0 engine, and it's better to have an auto in rush hour.Thread
