What is the smoothest riding aftermarket spring/shock setup?

I had H&R springs and Boge gas shocks on a '95 jetta VR6 a few years ago and I remember sacrificing A LOT of ride quality for better cornering and overall stability. I don't want to sacrifice ride quality this time around. What is the smoothest (as smooth or smoother than stock) riding aftermarket spring/shock setup that will still lower a 2001 civic coupe about 1-inch? Or is it not possible?

I won't get rims unless I can lower the car 1-inch and keep a smooth, comfortable (stock or better) ride. Thanks in advance!

Neuspeed sports and the Koni Adjustable shocks.....The drop is mild, and with the Koni's being adjustable, sure seems like the best set up.....others will prefer other springs, and thats ok, but the Koni's seem to be everyones favorite...

However, let me point out, that I have not YET dropped my car, but if I were to, I think this is the set up I would go with. Get some other's viewpoints though. I am sure others can lend some Personal insight..

Hehe Well, the fact that Koni Yellows are the only shocks out for our car would make them everyones favorite. There is word about other shocks coming out this spring/summer thou.
