Mysterious scratches and dents

I was washing my car earilier today and I noticed a small dime sized dent on my rear quarter panel and two scratches on the top of my trunk and I have absolutely no idea where they came from. These aren't the normal nicks you get from driving, these are in unusal places. Anyone else experience this?

I would love to put a video camera on my car just to see what happens when I'm not around it. I don't trust people, I think most people would just walk away if they put a little dent in someones car.

The qtr panel dent was probably caused by someone's door. Was there paint taken off or another color paint on your car? And about the trunklid scratches...are they more like hairline scratches or deep scratches? The light scratches can even by caused by dirt. Or if you or someone placed something on your trunklid.

The dent was probably someones door but the scratches are more like scuff marks and they are like 6" long. I know for a fact I didn't put them in there because I never put anything on my trunk lid and I use unabrasive cleaners when I wash my car.

I have random scrathches that pop up all the time. A friend of mine actually opened his door and put a dent in my driver's side. Yeah, I don't talk to him much anymore. Bastard ...

Anyways, there's a few products you can use - Scratch-X on the trunk, though I'm not sure how well it works, I've yet to try it (maybe this weekend) but it looks pretty effective. And for the dent, well, the friend who dented my car, who I will refer to as "Mr. bad man," claimed that on a hot day, if you take an ice cube and put in on the dent (after the car has had a chance to heat up) it should pop right out. Or there's little dent plungers or whatever, so a few things you could try I guess. Anyways, hope this helps!!

Cheers!

You cant avoid getting little dents, just wait till they pile up and then have them fixed
