F1 vs. WRC
I think Shumacher is the best, but he is so good and has such a good car that F-1 has become the most boring sport.
On the other hand WRC is a little more competitive and in my opinion more fun to watch. I really donīt have a favorite favorite driver, but I think team Peugeot is really good

I think that WRC drivers are much better than F1 drivers... WRC drivers have to deal with all sorts of conditions and variables when they are on the track... i'm not saying that F1 drivers are not talented, but I'm saying that WRC drivers are more talented than F1....
Put Schumacher on a WRC track and see how he does... put McRae on an F1 track and i'm pretty sure he'll do pretty well....

I'd have to say they are equally talented, just in different ways. F1 and WRC are such different series, it's hard to compare them. I like them both. My favorites: WRC-Tommi Makkinen(was Colin McRae 'til he went to ford) F1-Juan Pablo Montoya. My favorite driver of all though, is Alex Zanardi.
IMO they are very... talented drivers in both F1 and WRC but I don't think the WRC has better drivers. Reaction times in both very close to one another when you factor in the speed these F1 guys are pulling.

i would say WRC is more of a challenge because of the vast range of conditions and tracks that they have to adapt to. not to say that F1 isnt a challenge or isnt difficult, but its a road course.
but id say that the LeMans is more of a challenge than F1 tho...thats a 24 hour race, and if anyones driven for more than or 5 hours at a time, you know that maintaining concentration for 24 hours is pretty tough.

C'mon it is ridiculous to compare World Rally with Formula 1. Totally different driving conditions, requiring totally different skills.
At least try to compare F1 with CART or NASCAR or something, then you'd have a more relevant debate.

I agree, its comparing apples to oranges.
You got F1 cars that zip around corners at speeds over 100 mph. WRC you have crazy power slides at 40-60 mph.
Both take a lot of concentration, but in different ways. The skills required in WRC are very different from F1. If you say a WRC driver's better, do you think he can just hop in an F1 and race? No way. Both are different kind of races, different kind of style of driving. No sense in trying to compare them. They're both insanely good. Let's just leave it at that.

(too lazy to read thread this might be posted already)
Apples - Oranges
While both need a great amount of skill, I personally feel that Rally takes more sheer driving skill. Also, in F1, the Ferrari team has Schumacher (not the greatest, but up there) and pretty much the best car, so there hasn't been any competition lately. JV is wasting his career away with Honda CBR, he needs to go to a better team.
I thought the whole McRae vs Schumacher thing was pretty stupid, McRae probably just wanted the chance to drive an F1 car.

I have to give it to the WRC guys... When they get a flat on the road, they change it themselves.... now thats a driver !

Althoght both are good series (WRC, F1) you cannot compare, the fact is that Shumi could not make a power slide like the rally racers, nor the WRC driver could drive a lap at the same pace as the F1 drivers.....
I like rally better, and Peugeot rocks!!!!!1
