Update - My front bumper paint chip.
Okee. If you all don't remember I was the one nearly in tears awhile back cause a peice of paint came off my bumper when I was washing it. Almost had a corinary. Anyways. Took my car down to Honda about a week ago. No problems. The guy snapped some pics, took a look at it. Then to my surprise they ordered a whole new bumper cover. He told me they would get it in, paint it, and call me to stop down so they could swap it out. Well they called me Wednesday, said it's ready. So I went there today dropped it off before work. Picked it up after I got off and wow. . good as new. . So it ended well. Didn't cost me anything but my time. . Thanks Honda. .. love ya . .

If they're painting it before you arrive, make sure the paint matches when they put it on... Or sacrifice your car for a day in the interest of having matching shades of paint.
that's pretty sad, IMO... this is part of the reason labor and parts are so much at the dealer, when they have to fix this kind of stuff for "free".
i dunno what's more pathetic... the dealer sucking up to you and replacing the bumper, or you taking the car to the dealer for a tiny paint chip.

it all depends IMO, if it was a paint chip from like a rock or stone on the highway...then yea thats pathetic that they would even cover it...but if your paint was cracking and peeling off then yes it should be fixed for freee.....what i dont understand is why would they replace your front bumper,, why wouldn't they just re-paint your current bumper...that would be a cheaper method and it would have been the same to you....either way they painted your bumper because the brand new one didnt come painterd they had to paint it....
just weird that they would actually give you a complete new fromt bumper because of a paint problem,.....

how big is this paint "chip" you're talking about? if it's the size of your fist or bigger, than yes i'd defenitely go to the dealer... but that's not really a "chip", is it!? that's peeling paint... but still nothing that should involve replacing the bumper.
then again, my car is nighthawk black, so that's much easier to blend with touch-up paint...
