Yo...What are you talking about?? A civic will never be crap. Who cares if the accord is going to be faster. Most people on this site didnt buy the civic for speed. If you wanted a car that was fast, then you should of gotten the rsx.

If you want fast, go with a GTI 1.8T chipped

It's an "under $20,000 speed-demon"

Most people would say: compare apples to apples.

Of course the Accord v6 is going to be faster. Its going to cost what, 24-25 K? and how much is a Civic, 17K for the EX?

For a base compact car the Civic is quite average in power BUT better on fuel. Who are the real civic´s competitors? I would say focus, corolla, jetta, neon, cavalier, etc... and when you look at those cars numbers you will find the civic is quite an average car.

Anyone buying a civic expecting it to be a sports car with a super powerful engine, got the wrong message. If you want a sports car get a real one or spend 10K on the civic to make it go fast.

The accord is supposed to be faster and run better than the civic. It's like the grand prix being faster and running better than the grand am. I know this because I have 2 friends with the pontiacs. Anyway if im going to spend 25k for a car, I';m gonna splurge the extra 5 grand and get myself a BMW 3 series or a Lexus IS, not an Accord. No offense to Honda. Be happy with what you got man. I know I am. A 7th gen with 10 grand in it is nicer than any 25k stock car.

exactly. plus our cars look way better than the accords to start out with. I'm sorry but the tails on the sedan look like saturns, and the coupe just isn't proportioned correctly.

whatever hes smoking, i want some...cause its GOTTA be good!!! LOL

who compares an accord with a civic? even the current v6 can spank our car, its not news. as far as looks go, not that big a fan of the 2003 accord...at least not the sedan.

if youre gonna compare the civic to anything and call it crap, compare it to the versions they have in japan and europe. compared to those our civic is crap. i would love to have a 4WD civic, but noooooo...thats only for japan. rat bas+ards.

Heh...WTF have u been smokin'? I want some too...to say that that new FUGLY Accord is/will be better looking than the Civic is pure idiocy. It will be faster but then, IT BETTER be with a 240-hp V6!

Edit: Here, I rest my case:

<----Lean, clean design

<----Bloated design, remids me of a blowfish

I don't know what you guys are smoking but my vic sedan is a sports car.....at least I think it is. Anyhow, the new accord is going to be nice with the extra 40hp but not my cup of tea--not yet anyways. I already had one of those and I like my civic much better. In fact, I love it more and more everyday. Personally, I like the looks of the new accord coupe but not the sedan. I like the looks of the civic sedan but not the coupes. Coupes look too much like the focus.

All I know is...

2003 Accord: ~$22,000
2003 Civic: ~$15,000

That's $7000 that you can spend on modifications. That would give you a bodykit, rims, a turbo, an audio system, and a whole lot more. That is if you're good with money. Having a hooked up Honda and gettin' respect for that is worth a lot more than a stock Accord IMO. The Accord will just give you the rich biznitch comment.

Ummmm....I meant in the price range...The RSX is much quicker than our civic's....Maybe not as fast as a WRX and Defenitly not as fast as an NSX....I was just trying to make a point....Geez.
