Fast and the Furious 2 Car Auditions in Puerto Rico

Universal Studios, is auditioning cars for Fast and the Furios 2 here in Puerto Rico. The word is out among street racers that there has been actual auditions for the movie on the west side of the island. It is rummored that the chosen cars are taken to a shop in Aguada PR where they dedicate on custom body kits and hi-perfomance mechanics. The place has been kept secret by the employees. They say that it is the place where the Eclipse from the first movie was built. rummors say that 4 cars have already been chosen. This I heard in the radio station LA MEGA 106.9 FM this morning and afternoon. I will keep you posted if any more news come out.

Rep Power: 0 The Fast And The Furious was the worst movie ever. It's only good if you wanna see a couple nice cars, which you can easily see on the movie's website. I wonder if the 2nd one will be more realistic?

Rep Power: 360 Kinda odd... Why would they choose Puerto Rico to build those cars when the US and Japan already have some bada$$ cars out in the streets? Why do they need to be modofied with high performance mechanics? They aren't really racing them in the movie. I dunno, maybe the radio station wanted ratings. I would rather prefer to see some staright JDM cars going at it in this movie. My .02 cents...

As far as customizing in Puerto Rico ...those cars are all show anyway, so why even take it to a pricey Japanese place of US place to tune. So as long as it has its cheesy bodykits, that's all they need.

Rep Power: 0 You have your information sorely wrong. The place that built all of those cars is located on the Universal Studios lot. I read a very indepth article on whose cars they were(yea, they didnt get built for the movie, they were already in existence). These individuals donated their cars and a large group of movie people, mechanics, etc.. built knock-off copies. Apparently their were quite a few eclipses built. But none were ever built in Puerto Rico and i somehow doubt they'd audition cars down there when the biggest part of the import scene is located right outside of Universal Studios in So Cal. I think someone fed you some wrong information. I doubt vin diesel's vacation would have any effect on car auditions. That's like saying, oh well he was over in London so they flew a bunch of cars over for auditioning. riiiight.

Rep Power: 0 Lol if i was to do a new FnF movie. I would add Initial D to it. Have them race through a Route or mountain pass of some sort. Then you see some nice rides drifting their cars and you see a sleeper car overtake all these high power cars. You can't beat drift racing. And you don't have to see them talk about NOS anymore. If they add NOS in FnF2 movie i am not going to see it. NOS is played out after the first

Fern is right... If you go to universal studios in florida they have the Jetta out there to look at. I saw it and I was like cool up until I walked up to it and really looked at it. The one that was shot up is all fake the brake rotors are fake and the car is sitting on 18's. The real car sold on ebay a few months after the movie came out and it had the aem big brake upgrade and 19's ust to name a few things.
Also Universal studios made some 6 eclipse's including 1 that was nothing but the body( hints the one that blew up )
You can read all about this movie if you go to the theme park. And YES THERE WILL BE A F&F 2 and it's due out next fall if im not mistaken However they dont know if Vin will be in it or not bc he's wanting a whole lot of $$$$$$.

Rep Power: 0 Yeah, I thought Frankie Muniz (Malcolm from Malcolm in the Middle) bought the Jetta from the movie. I saw in another thread that Conan O'Brian asked him about it and he didnt know ish about cars, but that's another story.
I never thought of the correlation between FnF and Point Break, but yeah, they are very similar movies. Nice Observation =)

Vin Diesel may have been vacationing in Puerto Rica, but that has nothing to do with the movie. He has already turned it down. He is asking for to much money. Plus he is shooting another movie at the exact same time that FF2 is shooting. And that is right now, production started in early august. So I think it is a little late for your car.
