the generation of dsm, eclipse, before the new ones, has the worse factory mistake i ever heard.AND THERE IS STILL NO FACTORY RECALL!!! the defect only effects the gsx, awd turbo. the transfer case(which distributes the power to the rear wheels) leaks fluid, over time the gears heat to the point where the gears cant turn(caused by melted gears), causing all 4 wheels to lock up, imagine being on the freeway, cruising at 70 mph and and all 4 wheels lock up! it happen to my close friend's cousin, and he barely survived, but having a hard time adjusting to his new disabilities. also if you research this problems on dsm fan online sites, there was a man that being charged for involuntary man slaughter in puerto rico, and he sent a letter about he thinks it might had happen to him. wuts my point? awd from mitsubishi scares me(evo 7), thats why im sticking with STI! anyway, IF YOU KNOW ANYONE that has that model of gsx, let them know b4 its too late.

Any gear case that looses its oil will start to wine & howl long before it ever gets hot enough to melt & lock up - people need to turn down the stereo & listen to their machine once in a while... and remember cars don't heal themselves...

It also happens to the Eagle Talon TSI i think and there was a recall my friend had his transfer case replaced three times in his TSI.
