I had cleared head lights and then decided to get projectors because cleared head lights wasn't
enough. I got black TYC's and I am very happy with them, they give the car a whole new look. I
get compliments all the time. I don't have visability problems or any problems for that matter. Go
with projectors.

I cleared my headlights. But I recently got the angel eye projectors. I think the visability is about the same as stock. I have no complaints about them and i have gotten mad props for them too. The cleared headlights is a free mod, so do it. Then do what i did, if you decide you want something different and order the projectors.

If you have the $ go for the Angel Eyes. I'm probably going to clear mine when I get back home and eventually get the projectors when I have the dough.

I bought the chrome projectors for my car and I gotta say that at night I cant see a thing. They look great but the light is very dim. I have to drive with my brights on.

I'd have to agree!

I've seen the black angel eye's in person...and they are PIMP! I can't believe how great they look!

They don't look like civicdude's projectors, but the ones that were posted a couple days ago. The person said they didn't have any problems seeing at night. I think it all depends on which ones you have.

I've cleared my headlights, and it looks great (my car is black)...but I think when I save up, I'm gonna go for the angel eyes.

I agree. Looks alot nicer. Paint that frame black.

AND, I've known alot of people that have notonly had visibility problems w/projectors, but also with bulbs constantly blowing out.

I would go ahead and get TYC black headlams and throw those in....It also depends on what kind of look your going for, dont just get a headlamp just to get a headlamp, make everything on the exterior of your car compliment each part!

things have definitely changed...
it looks like the two sides are equally divided...
ultimately it's consumer preference...
but i wanted to know what the general population liked...
so far its even...its almost as difficult as pepsi or coke!

Hey, Spoonie. . . .

The one thing that helped me decide what I'm doing up front with my silver 02 coupe was what I did with the tail lights. The only aftermarkets that I liked were the TYC Chrome jobs. So, in order to preserve the "clean" look I've established with the rest of the car, I'm getting chrome projectors, too. In my case, the chrome fits in well with the silver, doesn't overpower it, and doesn't clash with it.

In your case, with the black, you might want to ask yourself what you're going to do (if anything) with your tail lights so the finishes don't clash. Personally, the pics I've seen of the black TYC tails are NICE. Very sharp look, elegant and very stylish. If you went that route, I'd then certainly go with either the TYC projectors in black, or the black halo projectors (I'm getting those in chrome), or clear your corners and paint the bezels black. The ultimate custom job would be painting the bezels, but I personally think the black projectors would also look sweet.

Hmmm, doesn't look like I helped you narrow-down your choices, but maybe I got you to think about the whole package a bit more.

FYI: Check out my ride profile to see how the chrome compliments the silver paint and how going with chrome up front will preserve the clean look I've established.

I would go with black projectors, I have them and I don't have any visibility problems. The light pattern is just different from stock, thats all.

whoa...those gun metal headlights are off da chainZ!...
the 2k1 is still a new ride...i bet next summer the market will be full of new stuff...incl. headlight styles...
alot of people are telling me to wait until next summer, cuz right now the market seems dry for 2k1 - 2k2 civics...
i think i'm just going to clear the headlights for now...its the safest thing to do....
the darknights show here in canada only featured two 2k1 civics...is it like that in the US?...
its just still too new...........................

I haven't had any problems, those that blow their bulbs are most likely using bulbs that get tooo hot, or using the wrong bulbs. My TYC Jectors require H3 bulbs, and the only ones I've found are Super Clear White ones...

Here's a look at mine painted black(inserts OEM cleares).........
Personally, I don't like mine too much, I like the all balck projectors........
But I dont like the little "angel eyes" ring thing thats a different color around the edges of the bulb.
I think I like the TYC's........
but then theres the visibilty problem........I don't know which way to turn.........
Just clear them, and paint them when you clear them.........then if you don't like.......
go w/ projectors.........
