Nissan Sentra engine woes
It seems like a lot of folks are having oil consumption/burning issues with the new Sentras:

Heh i almost got a Sentra SE. Luckily the salesman was an ***, they will have to put me on a 30 day list and i won't be able to test drive it because they don't have one at the dealership.

has ne one ever drove one before, the interior is bad arss compared to ours for crying out loud, and they are so fast, chirpin third is fantastic and our cars cant do that
the interiors are not bad **** - they're cheaply made, and it shows. our cars are, overall, much better made. i have a friend who used to own a '02 v6 altima. he said that thing sounded and felt like it was about to fall apart at high speeds. there's a reason why honda outsells nissan by a huge margin.

I almost bought a SE-R Spec V, but it didn't handle that great (the Civic matched it in the Slalom test), but damn was it fast. The shifter was also a bit sticky, the Civic one is much better. Never had a problem with Nissans before, Dad had an 85 and 89 Stanza, mom had a 93 Maxima, but passed on an 01 Altima because it just didn't seem well built, Apparently the Sentras are the same way. I wonder if being made in Mexico has something to do with it. Just glad I bought a Honda.
This was some guy's sig over there: 2002 Lemon SER SPEC-V not by law YET... 15+ visits to the dealership and only 2 problems fixed, and more added to by the dealership i love my luck, new tranny( on order ),burning oil, loose shift ****, body kit trim falling off, paint chips up the ***, back seat on order(support beam came through it), rubber stoppers on the gas tank fell off!!!!!!!!!! thats all i wish to list right now...
Who's glad they bought a Honda?

The Se-R's/Spec V's seem to have lots of problems. For some reason they just don't work well. I also test drove a Spec V after i had bought my civic and it was fast and sporty. I didn't want a sedan and I really don't like the look of it. The shifter was also VERY clunky! I do have friends that have them and I belong to b15 as my wife has a GXE. Now the 1.8's and 2.0's are great engines, espeically to the 2.0! They are rare, but they get massive power from boosting.
