Got to drive the RSX-S.

My friends mom . . She is leasing an RSX-s . I'm soo jealous. . Anyways. Ever since she got it me and my friend have been nagging her about getting her to let me drive it. My friend would want to drive it, but he doesn't have a clue how to drive a manual (poor sap). Anyways. We nagged and nagged and nagged, but she always just kinda laughed and said no. . Which was how it went for quite awhile. Lately our story has been that we were more concerned with the engine. How we didn't want the carbon to build up, how we were very concerned. Hehehe. . (ya right). . But she caved. She finally broke down and handed me the keys. I almost jumped through the roof. It is a sweet car. 3 of us in the car, a/c full blast and still quite a bit more power than my little Civic with just me and no a/c. Kinda depressing, but hella fun.. Made me feel powerful. . Anyways. I can't wait. After my Civic gets paid off I plan to get an S2000 I can't wait for that should be even more fun than the Rsx. I'll keep the Civic cause hopefully it will be a pretty slick car by then and will be good as a daily driver. But yeah . . Damn nice car the Rsx is. . Hopefully I'll getta drive it again soon. .

yah the rsx type-s is a really nice and fast car! i've got to test drive one at the acura dealer... it was quite funny.... cause the guy pretty much wanted me to test drive it... and he was like "ahh... maybe u should let me go out with it first to see if everything was ok with the car...." so i was like ok sure, go ahead.... and the we went on the highway and he was crazy! was was going like 120km and redlining it!! that car really screams when the rpm's up there! it sounds so nice!! haha, i guess that guy likes to go out for test drives cause he wants to drive it so much!! then i got to try it after a while.... and i barely got to try it out... i got to redline it and stuff... it was fun!!

Im so glad I picked up my car as it came off the truck. It seems that dealer and user test drive abuse runs rampant for these cars...no wonder people have motor problems with oil consumption and such, they are being ran to 8000 redline in their break in periods.

neo, I believe most dealers use 1 or 2 cars as their test drive vehicles, and then get rid of them at auction when the new model year comes in. but I understand your concern. It always worries me when I take a test drive and the salesman encourages me to redline it. Then when you buy your car, they emphasize the importance of the break in period. kind of contradicting. oh well

not the case. I know of several dealers who will let you test drive any one you want. I know I did.
