About 80-85 or so. I prefer not to drive very fast in my Civic. I've done in the 120s in my police car once or twice before.

According to the owner's manual, the car is gear (redline) limited. I'm not sure how fast you can go in 5th, but its somewhere around 120 according to the magazines.
Fastest I've gone is about 100, I ran out of road and had to start slowing down...the car still had plenty left in it.

All car manufacturers do that. Look at the vette. Its speedo goes up to 200mph but it gives out at around 175mph.

it goes higher because they know people will try to take it to that last line. i've topped out in my 2k1 ex auto at 135. it was a slight down grade, but not to increase 8 mph over the speed limiter.

145 mph hour down hill. I was following a BMW and two Aleros. On flat land 130 with four people in the car. It took forever to get there.

on my hx... the governor kicks in at 4th gear 117 mph.. i never tried going into 5th because it was only at 5k... i might try seeing if the governor is higher on the 5th gear... but i don't think so because i doubt the governor has anything to do with the rpm...

About 100 mph I don't speed in my car that often. When I was going this though the ride was smooth as hell.

I agree... The car stayed glued to the road, no twitching what so ever. Credit goes to the Honda engineers in the wind tunnel, who have figured out how to keep downforce on the front of the car, even at triple digit speeds.
Had my brothers Maxima up to about 117, scared the heck out of me... the steering got really light, almost as if the front end was lifting.

I've gotten to 126, felt like I could've gone a bit faster. But I was too scared. I don't know why I did that, it was really stupid. My car is a coupe, you can figure out the rest.

My shut down at 132, does anybody make a chip to bypass the speed limiter, I don' think it is a rpm limiter because in 5th at 132 I was only at about 4700 rpm.
