The Lancer and the Evo...
Ok. I don’t know if they are the same thing but,
The current Lancer 2002 has 120 Horsepower. The Evo Vll (Lancer?) 2003 has the same motor with ~250 Horsepower?
I know that the Evo Vll has a turbocharger, but would it really add that much? Do they have the same engine?
(This came to thought because I saw an article for 'Lancer vs. WRX' and I thought - HA that’s a joke; the Lancer only has like 120 HP there is no way. So I read the article and it just got me more confused)

everyone is writing about the new lancer. the evo VII that is coming out in january will haver a twin turbo 4 cylinder with 250-275 hp(haven't got definites yet). so yes it is possible and it is going to happen
Yeah thers engine work and a turbo on the EVO edition, if I am not mistaken the engine codes vary too, if you follow the rally races, especially the WRC, the EVO dominates, I like it a lot better than the WRX , its my car of choice, if I could get one I'd get a 5-6, because I do not like the new looks of it, even though technically its a much better car, the evo version of the lancer is coming to the united states this next year to compete with the STi version of the WRX which is gonna be released about the same time. THe new EVO is the 7th re incarnation so it has been through & generations i belive, its a very hardcore car man, probably the only worthwhile car ever made by mitsu.

the only thing the lanevo shares with it's current brothers is the chassie, everything else is different, higher tuned transmission, slightly different bodykit, body pannels, completely different motor, different drivetrain, different suspension, diffeent rims..etc...
the lancer and evo has differnt engines...nothin is the same...the evo engine is 4G63 one of the best engines ever made after the b-series..they have been using this 4G63 engine in evo's since the late 90's and its still teh same one..and lucky me i got one in my little talon...

No way Peugeot Rules, and beside the tubo diference in the lcer and evo engines I think the Lances is SOHC and the EVO is DOHC, intake manifold, etc, etc... it would be like comparing the D17A2 engine with the K20A (RSX Type R)
hehe my bad i was thinking GST and put GSX, I like the GSX too. Mitsu AWD is superior, and no the EVO and Lancer do not share crap interiors, just like the Civic Type R and Civic EX dont share crap interiors.
