Picked Up The New Civic Last Night

Hey everyone,

decided to trade my 2k1 mustang gt vert in on a 2k2 civic ex in blue. I picked it up last night and i must say i am suprised with its power. It has alot more power than my wifes 2k2 lx auto. Getting it tinted today and hope to have some dz coilovers ordered this weekend. I am really glad that I traded the stang in ( man that thing eats gas, Like 16mpg). Thanks to everyone who helped me make up my mind as to what I wanted to get.

i hope the money youre shelling out for the vic is worth it. i dont know how you can say civics have anything worth a dime in the power category...considering you drove a stang gt. IMO this decision

gotta agree with LikeWeeeee on this one, if your looking for fast this isnt it, but the interior and the overall look is nice, probably more so than the mustang, never liked a mustangs interior.

I definately did not buy the civic for performance. If i wanted performance i would have kept the stang. I chose the vic for the general looks and the fact that it gets twice the gas mileage than the stang. I drive like 25000 miles a year with my job and that $hit adds up quick. All i was saying is with the performance is that there is a notible difference between the auto and the manual not neccesarily the difference between vtec and no vtec. I am beginning the plans on the hook up of the civic as we speak. Gonna start with the dz coilovers and 17" konig toxxins. I hope to have that stuff done by the end of august.

Good decision man. You'll save a ton on gas, and you can save up for a car that you'll REALLY want later in life, (Like an M3). Also, you can use the extra money to pamper your wife every now and then . She'll love that .

Actually that isnt true, our cars are tuned for 87 octane we get the best MPG outta that octane rating, the only thing i would put in is 89 every so often, just to clean out the sucker

The buddy bought a stick EX... hence no power sapping torque converter. So yeah, he'll smoke your auto LX ***, despite the little at wheels horsepower difference.

So do you have that big goofy smile on your face? I swear I must have looked like an idiot for the first two weeks when I got my civic. Well, it is my first car.
