Damn it, why don't they show the Coupes' front for a change. I like her ***, but I wanna see her pretty face
I think the rear sits somewhere between ours and the RSX. Take a look at the triangle side window. That's almost exactly RSX. The resemblance on the rear with Merc, is mostly coz of the taillights I think. But I don't think it's bad. Me like. Me like very much
Now show us the damn front side

Now show us the damn front side well click on "complete photo gallery" on the right side after the pictures for a few more shots. they do kind of show the front of the coupe, its pretty much identical to the sedan's front.
the coupe looks very nice but this sounds kinda disappointing:
"During the press briefing, Baker made claims that the Accord V6 powerplant would make us forget about the new Nissan Altima's 3.5-liter V6. We beg to differ, having driven our long-term Altima 3.5 SE to the Accord launch. In contrast to the Nissan, the Honda upshifts and downshifts more fluidly and with less kick, but when the Accord's engine is revved, it fails to delight with any eagerness or urgency to rush to speed the way the Altima's V6 does. The Altima is a thrill ride when the go-pedal is mashed; the Accord is not. This, we're certain, is sure to please traditional Accord buyers, but it's not going to appeal to performance-minded folks."

Dunno what Honda's thinking. They've got their mind so bogged up in designing ULEV cars they've forgotten about performance. THen again, the Accord is a family sedan, geared for family drivers...

The new Accord is gonna be an instint success. Screw what these geek car mag editiors say; they just wanna look all hardcore. Nissan is HURTING for sales (they were bought out by Renault, remember?), so they'll try anything... including stuff the 3.5L 240HP in there. Of course the Altima is going to give you more EMUUUMF, it has an extra 500cc. But then again, if the EMUUUMF is what you are totally in for, why don't you get a Mustang? The Altima wouldn't have been in the market share records, if it wasn't for the new BIG engine. They NEED that engine to sell. Why? Because they lack in everything else. Want proof? Read on.
Comfort? Accord.
Ride? Accord.
Durability? Accord.
Reliability? Acord.
Safety? Accord.
Ergonomics? Accord.
Fit and Finish? Accord.
Gas Mileage? Accord.
Emissions? Accord.
Resale Value? Accord.
Need I go on? Those are the top priorities of the most family sedan buyers, and Altima gets spanked virtually in every angel. So they stuffed the 3.5L in there, in hoping to capture that odd customer who's having mid life crisis. They barely pull off 10% of Accord's sale, and they call it a smashing sales success. Desperation shows.

I have mixed feelings about the new Accord. The pre-release pics and articles looked awesome and Honda hyped up the new Accord saying it would be a breakthrough vehicle. This is definitely not the case. It seems to me they just took an Acura CL and toned it down a bit. Styling could have been a lot better, the car just seems so plain to me. The interior is nice and finally has features one comes to expect in new mid-size cars (i.e. navigation system). In my opinion, Honda should have been more creative with the Accord. Damn....if only I were head of the design team!!!...............I'LL KEEP MY CIVIC.................
same here - my car isn't going anywhere! Honda did a good job with the 7th gen Civics, but IMO not the new Accords. maybe I'll consider trading my car for the next-generation CL or TL, if they don't fudge up the design, anyway.
I have to say I like the new Coupe but I'm also a bit dissappointed. Honda's strategy is that this should fill the gap of the Prelude. But I think the RSX-S or ITR fills that gap better than this new Coupe does. Somehow, the new design is a bit too conservative and the engine doesn't sit up there with the K20 and S2000 but somewhere below that from what we know at this point . Accord byers looking for some more thrills might like it, but buyers looking for a replacement for their Prelude, or us wanting more power than our rides are better of going for the RSX-S or ITR. But alas, the latter isn't within our reach yet. What will the new CRX bring ? If they give it the go ahead that is.
It sounds like Honda is playing it safe with the new Accord, not too many radical changes, but enough to make it interesting. I like both versions. The coupe is sporty enough, and the sedan looks nice too. Hopefully it will be my next car, maybe the Honda clearance event of Summer 2004. If I had a V6 Coupe EX, I would basically feel successful.
i fink i tend to agree wif most ppl....i myself design kits for fun and there are some things dat are good and others dat are not so....the first fing i dont really like is the grill wtf happened to dat eh but who cares when a aftermarket bumper can easily rectify dat,....the back i not much of a problme i reckon sure its not nice but smoking the bottom half of the lens on a black car will make it look hell nice!!!!! but the lights are ok...wat are ur main overall opinion of the car..would u get one if u had the money!!!????? imo newayz
