i need someone to shed some light on this tiburon crap

i know somebody through my best friend who has either a 99 or 2000 tiburon and he says there is some brand called Bulletproof (??) that has a twin turbo kit for his car. it would require him to get new drivetrain, piston, rods, but he clearly said that nothing would be done to the block. that would remain....he says the twin turbo kit will make the car push around 700hp to the wheels....one thing was that when i asked him what's the brand of the turbo kit that he's putting on his car he couldn't really remember and said something like Bulletproof. i dunno, but wouldn't you guys damn well have known what brand of turbo you're putting on your car without having to struggle to remember?? does somebody know of this brand or if there is a twin turbo kit out for the tiburon because it sounds pretty much like he's getting a custom job but he said that brand so i don't know. can a tiburon engine even handle twin turbos???? i find that hard to believe. any help appreciated

What does he mean by they're not doing anything to his block? Getting new pistons and rods is clearly doing 'something' to the block.

The amount of money it would cost to make a Tiburon 700hp at the wheels would be ridiculous! Not to mention it wouldn't even the slightest bit streetable.

how is getting pistons and rods doing somehting to the block...thats doing something to the internals...doing something to the block would be like doing a over bore to the cylinders which is the block

let's see now: an older Tibby(4cyl) with a twin turbo &700hp? lol I don't think so..........someone fed your friend a bunch of BS. There's no way that engine could push those kinds of numbers and still be the least bit street legal, plus i dont think that block could handle that kind of boost, but then again, I don't know the specs on it. Anyway, don't you think that would be all over this and other automotive web boards, not to mention magazines, if it were true?

I know the tibby blocks are tough... some strret racers run 120 shots of Nitrous via wet kits only without troubles..so it's tough block...not 700hp tough though

if the new v6 tibercrap had a tt, it would still be puttin out a max of like 500...with the entire engine rebuild ground up. i still havent figured out why audi has a 4 banger tt, but i thought that was just a waste of a turbo. 700 to the wheels? lmao 700 to the wheels = blown corvette.

When people refer to the 'block', it usually means the pistons/rods and anything that sits inside of the cylinders.

the Audi TT 4 banger has no spooling time and high boost and plenty of air flow.. better than using 1 medium-large turbo where there'd be some lag.

That 2 engine tiburon is all-wheel drive. It has the normal engine in the front, heavily modded, and has a Cesna 172 engine in the rear, powering the rear wheels. That's how he gets his power.

while 700 hp on a 99 model tib is a joke the 2k3 tib will be to 700 hp in no time. heavy duty internals BIG boost and some Nitrous Oxide and you got 700 in no time.
