Just one more retard question from me. OK... what is up that Acura... isn't it just a civic sedan or is that why it gets the Acura nameplate? I'm confused again

Acura is just a brand name for Honda. This brand only exists in North America because there is a target market for more "luxury cars". The Acura 1.7EL comes with some options that the Honda Civic doesn't.

sorry my question kinda sounded confusing... I know that Acura only exists in N.A. but it (Acura 1.7 EL) is only in Canada correct? So do yall have a Civic Sedan AND a Acura 1.7?

yeah they have both, the el comes with leather and other luxary options that civics dont come with. I think, im not sure, that there is no ex sedan in canada and the el is there instead of it.

They don't have an Ex, but they have the Si. The EL, as I understand it, is just their Si with some luxyry amenities added.

yeah, I saw one in PA last week (with canadian tags). The body looks just like a civic sedan, except Acura emblems in gold, leather interior, different headlights and taillights. They look good! Acura Canada

Take a look at my member's page (link in signature) for a picture of an Acura EL.

It's basically the same as a U.S. market EX sedan. In Canada, we don't get the EX sedan.

Some of the features on the Acura include:
-Revised bumper/grille with Acura family resemblance, new headlights, new trunk/tail section
-127hp 1.7L SOHC VTEC engine like EX
-Acura 15" wheels
-Side air bags
-Four-wheel disc brakes + ABS
-Leather, heated seats, moonroof
-Security system
-More sound insulated than Civic

this is old stuff - EX coupe in US is the same as Si coupe in Canada

1.7 EL in canada is the same as EX sedan in US with a couple more goodies

DX and LX are the same for both
