Where to get exact match paint
Well if i have my paint code from my door, who do i go to to get an exact match half gallon, or less of paint? So i can do some repainting etc etc.
is there like a store? i need like the name of a store...or where to go. im not gonna go to a custom paint shop and have them do it cuz itll cost way too much $$
i just dont know who would sell auto paints or who could make the color i want etc etc..and dont tell me to go to pep boys and get "honda silver" cuz it doesnt match and yeah

Go to pep boys, or auto zone, go to the section with the touch up paints there should be a little book on the shelf look up your car there and look for the number, it then tells you the color ralleye red, etc. then pick it out, hope this helps
to get mixed paint to match your car, just bring your paint code to a place that sells automotive paint such as House of Color, dupont, or PPG. They have specialty shops that do this. Try to look it up in the phone book. Make sure you get PPG paint though and look for the PPG logo. These paint shops usually have all the equipment to paint a whole car such as sealer, thinner, spray guns, etc.... Or call up your local body shop and ask where to get PPG paint, they should know.
Here in TX we have a place called English color & supply.

Can you READ! He just said don't tell him to go to PEP BOYS or AUTO ZONE. & baller is right, they don't match for $hit and just looks ghetto.
juscallmetoyota: can you try and had anything beneficial in your posts? if not then go lose yourself. if he doesn't want to use the guys advice, he can just ignore it. Maybe you should try that concept.
Baller: If you don't have any luck with finding a local shop. You might be able to get some help from a local auto body place. If you can find a place with nice people they maybe be able to give you some of theirs for a decent price. There is a body shop by me that is willing to sell the exact paint at close to cost. Its worth a shot.

NBP, did you read my first post. Is that not helpful? I guess not.
If maybe someone read the whole post, he wouldn't have been flammed. Correct? Sorry if I'm too blunt w/ you guys. Seriously, grow up and try not to be so sensitive.

Thanks toyota.
and thanks NBP, but toyota was right. I did make it clear in my post not to send me to pep boys to get some cheap imitation stuff. But lets just leave it be.
Cheers

Just because you have the color code doesn't mean its going to match....Your car has been exposed to the sun, road salts, and other things,,making the car fade slightly.......I once thought like you guys and brought my upper grill to be painted along with the color code........The paint was almost the same but you could tell it was slightly off.......I gave them my gas lid so he could match the paint exactly to the grill......Alls good now.......Yah, most paint shops, if color matching need your car or a part to help them color match.....
no! don't buy nmb if you have satin silver metalic. it's not nnb, but it seems that honda's ssm is hard to match, even honda's ssm touch up paint in the little bottle doesn't match. i got a 12 oz. can from nmb i used to paint my altezza grill and bumper but it didn't match as i hoped. don't get me wrong, it's not nmb (great service by the way), it's just the darn honda ssm. take it to a local shop and see what they can do.
i don't know if my case was an isolated incident, but i hope others that bought ssm paint from nmb had better luck.

i think its how you apply it....i have titanium metallic and i painted my headlight covers, mudguards and foglight border and the only thing that came out different was the one on the foglight....it was dark....i think i put too much coats of paint on it probably....so i guess it depends on how much or how little you apply
Good tip for painting is to use PRIMER. get a can of PRIMER from AutoZone or something, and prie what you are going to paint. i assume that the color matches are beased on the paint being applied to a primered base. so SSM paint on BLACK looks different than SSM paint on a primered or white surface. Hope this helps.
hey whats up guys... im going to school right now learing about painting and you wont ever be able to match it exactly so what you are going to have to do is get a close match or something then you are going to have to blend it out on the areas where you are painting... now thats if you want to make it look really really good if not you can just paint it and stuff... but yea... I can tell you how to blend it if you want just message me... if you dont care sorry for wasting your time....
