Why Some PPL Buy A Civic!

Here are some reason why ppl want to buy a civic and not any other cars.

1~We want a project car that will be fun to mod and get it to the highest.

2~We like the way the civic looks and not the other cars.

3~We want to look stealth *some of us* and cops wouldnt like follow us if we had a more sporty look car.

4~We *some* like japanese car and not any other carz.

if you have any more reason or anything plz POST!!

My parents told me this is the one large ticket item I'm gonna get out of them for almost nothing. They told me anything over $20,000 was my responsibility to pay for, plus any maintenance, wear, mods, etc... On top of all of this, I knew almost nothing about cars when I first started looking. So I went for the nicest looking, most reliable car in that price range. Voila... Honda Civic. I didn't mind getting thirty-something miles to the gallon, either. But then the custom car bug hit me, and (other than girl and guitars) my car slowly started consuming my free time...

I bought it because for me, it was a relatively cheap vehicle and is practical and extremely reliable. I don't do mods, I have no interest in them. I plan on getting something else in the near future-hopefully a BMW or Mercedes, but for now, I am very pleased with my Civic.

i want a bmw m3 coupe quick. but i dont have money for that car and the insurance! so i had to stick with a good old civic that would last me forever. JAPANESSE rule, cuz i use to have a ford and it broke down really fast like in 3 months when i got it from the dealer brand new! and i like the way it looks, some of the previous gen civic ppl dont like the new civic cuz of the triangllar taillights and other stuff...

Bought another honda because I have had a civic with 390,000 KM and an integra with 285,000 KM, no burning oil, no mech problems.

My 5 year old jeep has already cost me $1500 in repairs. just over 100,000 KM

3 is not really suitable, consider most cops here would pull a civic over first, because most teens around here drive civic, we have more kids drive civics than old people, and this is the old people capital

That is exactly why I bought my car. I totally agree with that. I had a 1986 Volvo 760 Turbo in practically MINT condition. Only had 96k miles when I traded it in. Bought it from a young couple who got it from one of their old moms so it hardly was driven before I got it. The volvo had like 170hp in it and went 0-60 in about 7.5secs or less. Don't be fooled by the volvos, those turbos are damn fast. That is the ONLY thing I really miss about that car... the power.... and the seat heaters . I only got 13mpg in that thing ( I probably had a heavy foot) and because of the turbo the recommended gas was the Highest octane, like 92 or whatever it is. My civic is much better for steering, mpg, and reliability. It (hopefully) will last me through college and early years of my life after.

BTW -- Cops will follow civics, kids drive them a lot....

My first car was an 89 Honda Civic DX Hatchback. It served me well . . . then it got TOO old. Needed somethin' newer, but I also go into the "mod" scene. Wanted to stick with a Japanese car (even though it's CONSTRUCTED in Ohio) and REALLY wanted an RSX. But my insurance and paycheck said "Nope.", so that's when I fell in love with the vic ^_^` I wanted the coupe style and the great value overall which pointed directly at the 2002 Honda Civic Ex Coupe (Satin Silver Metallic). I don' regret it one bit

I had the same car! Except 1987... it was 182hp and 250+ lb/ft of torque.. that thing was mad. I pulled about 18mpg or so, though. I got the civic for its looks and resale value. I plan to trade this thing in when I have the money for a CL-S (which isn't for a while )
