taking the stock intake top out

well i was bored and wanted to do some experiments, so i took out the top for the intake filter cover so that my car sounds loud. And it does sound loud and very agressive which i like Anyways whats also really cool about this is that there is a hissing noise like i have turbo or something and its really crazy, like i will be just driving and when i give a little gas it will make a hissing noise pretty loud and gets ppl attention. Well the thing i wanted to know is that if that is a bad thing or if the whole idea of my experiment will damgae the car. And if its not bad yuo guys should try it to. It really nice and you will love it!!!

as long as u havet he filter in there it won't do any damage.... unless some big sharp dust hit ur filter than that's
a whole nother story.......

But it doesn't do nothin but act like a intake filter liek the K&N......

it could be your wheels...burning rubber?? if youre flooring it. you dont have to screech to do that to your tires.

How do you open the filter cover anyways? Cause Imight actually change mine since its been EXTREMELY dusty in my town lately cause of a lot of contruction goin on so i think the filter may need to be changed way earlier then expected. To answer your question about leaving it off, i really dont know. I would assume that as long as water didnt get in there or something like that than it wouldnt be too harmful. but like i said, i have no idea what damage it could do, if any.
