Well, the only C class Mercedes I've been in was in a dealership. I think its a very attractive car, and I've considered getting one in the future but I've never driven or riden in one and don't know much about the car so I can't really comment on what it can do...

Rep Power: 0 I don't know man...C240 auto can run 0-100km/h in 9 sec flat. This comes from MB and mind you factory data are usually very conservative cuz it'll look bad if any reviewer can't duplicate the same or faster time. If you said you tied him then I believe you w/o a video. But you beat him by two car lengths?!?!
Then you go on and said both of you had two passengers in the car while you race. I don't know about the C240 but in a Civic my butt dyno tells me even one extra passenger strains the car and the difference is very noticable.
And I still stand behind the last statement I made...German slushbox, unlike Japanese autos, aren't too much slower than their 5-speed counterpart.

Sorry, had to go there. Wooping up on a bad driver doesnt count when you put up a kill on a faster car. At least...it doesn't count in my book. If it did, then we would all be posting kills on vets with granny drivers.

Rep Power: 0 It seems like everyone is calling bs because the car is a mercedes. Why? A mercedes can't be beat by a honda simply because of the name. It's not like they are the greatest cars on the earth. Their reliability isn't exactly top-notch either. I would much rather have a lexus or BMW.

OT EDIT: Hey, take a good look at the interior dimensions of these 2 cars. Our Civics are surprisingly not much smaller that the Mercedes, considering that the Civic is a compact car. We even have more front legroom

Rep Power: 0 Not because a Honda can't beat a MB. I know the C240 weights more but it also has more torque and a flatter torque curve. The fact that he said his vic beat it by 2 car length is where the doubt comes in. Now if he said he tied or beat it by a bumper then I would believe w/o any proof.

I can see where 2 car lengths raises some skepticism. I just get tired of everyone talking trash everytime someone says they raced "X" car and won.

Rep Power: 0 Well gee, it's right there on the charts up on this thread... if you divide the weight of the car by the horsepower... even though the MB is almost 1000 lbs heavier... it still moving less weight per horse.
Same thing goes with torque.
The EX is closer on both counts but still will lose to MB.
A poor driver can make things worse, a great driver still can't overcome what is really: SIMPLE PHYSICS.
