i smoked my tail lights silver...
but like they're not really shiny... its kinda dull and if my cars parked at night it looks like im missing tail lights... was i supposed to spray the inside instead or do i apply a finishing... and damn it wasnt too even (its the peelable japanese kind) i wonder if i can use a blow dryer to melt and re-surface it theres some mini bubbles
hey get some pics, i have alteezas on my car, but i'm kind of getting tired of them. i bought the carbon fiber alteezas but they were made by apc, and the material on those things sucked, so i had to take them back. i was planning on possibly putting my stock tails back on and giving it a little spice. so show us some pics asap.
im in between houses right now im moving to an apt in irvine so im kinda busy dont know where mydigi cam is internet not setup at new apt so it'll be a while before i can get pics up, and my cars in horrible condition i have like one white m3 sidemirror and one black stock on the other side cause i was taking it apart to get it painted cheaper and i took off my trunk bezel thing and my H emblem to get them painted black.. i also wanted my painted black.. i like black parts on silver i want a black lip!
once they are smoked, you wanna get rubbing compound and polish it smooth and perfect
every small imperfection will show through
then you spray the clearcoat on your very well cleaned and dried tail lights (take them off the car first!)
let dry, and put em back on!
if you f u c k up, no worries, just use the rubbing compount to take of the layer of clearcoat, and if you take off some silver, just repaint, you cant mess things up beyond repair!

so polish it with rubbing compound and use clear coat to shine it? where do i get it? any brand recommendations? i dont know jack about painting lol is rubbing compound like a waxy substance?
rubbing compound is basically 1500 grit sandpaper as a paste that you rub into your surface
too hard and it takes off paint
you can get it at kragens or any place liek that
dont ask me about clearcoat. i dont know any good details abotu it.

clearcoat is like a clear spraypaint, yes.
and rubbing compound wont take off teh layer unless you arent carefull. remember, its like 1500 grit sandpaper, its pretty small stuff......
