One turbo for each rotor, I guess...the engine is a 3-rotor...never seen a setup like this

Seeing how most of the problems with the 3rd gen RX-7 were due to the sorry factory twin turbo setup (most people convert it to a more reliable aftermarket single turbo) - I have to wonder WHY would anyone want to have a tri-turbo setup??

i seen a supra w/ 3 turbos at my local car show, however, that 3 turbo supra could not take on a supra w/ A single turbo

Perhaps this 3 turbo setup will spool up quicker than one large turbo. Keep in mind that this is not a sequential turbo setup, and that each turbo is separate for each rotor's exhaust, not 2 turbos in sequence with each other.

Not that strange, I guess...remember the Bugatti EB110 of the mid 90's? That thing had a quad-turbo V-12--one turbo per each 3 cylinders.

Yeah, it's a 3 rotor. I guess if the guy had the coin to convert to a 3 rotor why not just put on 3 turbos. Looks like it would be more efficiant to have one turbo per intake so you can use smaller/faster spooling turbines instead of one big/slower spooling turbine for all 3 intakes. Just IMO.

well if u want looks then go with 3 turbo's if u want speed just go with one large one it will spool faster..but the thing with rotary's is rotary's itself not many ppl know how to fix them and lots of electrical problems
