Horsepower: 255hp @ 5800 rpm
Torque: 246ft-lbs. @ 4400 rpm

Stock GTI:

Horsepower: (1.8T) 150 @ 5700, (VR6) 174 @ 5800
Torque: (1.8T) 155 @ 1950-4500, (VR6) 181 @ 3200

Even with the mods, it's still a no-brainer: Maxima is faster

I don't know why people think VDubs are fast in near-stock form. Sure they'll rape a Civic, but I wouldn't consider them in the league of 'sporty/quick car' For their price, you can do far better in the Japanese arena

yeh the max has 255 hp but they are not sports tuned, 255hp in a max is different from 255hp in a Supra..and the gear ratios are different cause its not suppose to be a sports car..

Explain the difference between sport tuned hp and non-sport tuned hp. Are you talking about the gear ratios, that has nothing to do with the hp.

Gear ratios have EVERYTHING to do with the hp...not how hp is produced but rather, how it is transmitted to the road. You could have 1000hp but if you don't have the proper gear ratios, your car is not going to realize its full potential, both in acceleration and top-end speed.
