what's in store for '03?

does anyone know of any changes in store for the '03 civic coupe/sedan? ie. from '01 to '02 they revised the suspension slightly as well as the power steering pump. they also added that cup holder cover thing and rear sway bar for LX and DX. i'm just curious about what they are going to do for next year.

the 2003 might have a refresh design...although from what ive heard on the forums its gonna stay the same in terms of design...my 2002 rides not as good as my friends 2003 corolla...so maybe some tweaking in that area...i dunno im just rambling...its still gonna be a very good quality car!!!

I read some place on the internet. That for '03, on EX only (sedan/coupe), they will offer the b16a engine. Same as in the RSX. Just a rumour?!

that would be cool if the new ex's came with b16a's, but that's not the same engine in the RSX....the RSX has the k20 series f.y.i.

B16 is not gona happen they wont put an older engine in the new car
plus that would defeat the purpose of selling the SI

the best we'll see is prob a minor increase in hp..
they dont really need to change anythign IMO
03 is a big year because they've got their hands full on the new accord

Probably won't do much jus minor sheet metal changes and maybe change front/rear lighting appearance is usually what honda does in the middle of thier generation cycle

Not going to happen. Also the RSX is equipped with a K20A3 in the base and a K20A2 in the Type S. The 02 Civic Si is equipped with a K20A3 as well so you are not going to see a B series engine in a 7G anytime soon.

i really hope that honda doesn't change the exterior lighting appearance too much. i really like having the 'cutting-edge' look right now. i just got my car a half a year ago. i don't want it looking 'old' already!

Usually The civic stays around for 4 years before they change it drastically. So we have till 2005.
92-95 4 years
96-00 4 years
01-05 4 years

My guess is that you'll see a few exterior lighting changes. That's all they really ever do from year to year. Well, that and a few small details in the interior.

Edit: Actually, I have never notice the civics changing between gens. I have never really payed any attention though. You always see the accords getting new tail lights and small interior adjustments from year to year in the same gens.
