Man, I'm sick of...

People that own a WRX and think that their car is the shizz, and can beat everything. I was goin down I-270 tonight, and I look in the mirror, and see a car weaving, hardly any traffic, so why is this fool weaving in and out of cars, so he comes flyin up in the left lane, and i match the car next to me's speed (BTW, before I start to get flamed, I am currently driving my mom's Lexus GS400 with a lil over 300 hp, and a tested 1/4 mi of 14.1 (car and driver got that time or somethin)) so this WRX pulls up on the right of me, matches my speed, flips me the bird, so i decide to show him what this grocery getter can do, so i just punch it as he starts to, and totally start to walk away from him (we started doin about 30, just left a small construction area). he got pissed, and did a fly by after i walked him up to about 90, did a fly by, stared me down, and about rear ended a car in front of him, fools thinkin their car is the bomb, sheesh

Yea thas horrible... All the WRXs around Chicago IL is real cool about their rides...theres a bad seed in everything.
BTW, Bluelle thas a bad way to state things. I hate it when ppl talk like it's always domestic VS imports. It the story was about a TA you would be all over his *** jus cuz it's american...
Theres nuttin wrong wit american cars... but it doesnt mean theres nothing wrong in imports too.

Yeah, the REAL "ricers" are the domestic bashers. Just like the real "mullet heads" are the import bashers. We own Imports and domestics, for dif reasons. Our truck is a 1989 Chevy 3500 crew cab dually witha 454 in it, can anyone think of a import truck that has that? I am working on a 1979 Trans Am, and then we own 2 lexus's, so we have the best of both worlds

stupid ricer, domestic bashers

I like cars in general. I liek my little 4 banger because it is a little peppy tool around car. But I also like big old V8's because they are sheer power and the roots of our nations automotive history.

GS400 Lexus I love them they are fast driven only one, on valet we got mostly the GS300 but yeah I haven't seen many WRX's here mostly I see the Civics just halling it down the roads here. But glad to see you showed him, I had a Mazda like right on my tail a few weeks ago on a 2 lane road so I just punched and he couldn't keep up LOL he sucked at corners.

d00d one of my friends had a WRX before he crashed it and hes totally cool about it, he knew exactly how fast his car was, didnt make an *** of himself. LOL he also knows how fast a 400 is and would race yo just for giggles, but doin a flyby is weak lol.

which reminds me...im not a fan of roll on racing, but i remember this black suv with a giant blue superman "S" in the back windshield. he flew by, and i caught up quick...paced him for 10 seconds, then we both gunned it. it was pathetic really, he thought he was superman...then realized that a 4banger was trampling all over him.

he caught up, and i thought "what the hell, this guy knew i beat him".

again we floor it, and again i walk all over him.

flyin down the taconic at 120 mph, he quickly disappeared. i threw on my hazards and started driving normally. later he pulls the typical ricer flyby. putting domestics to shame like that is a .

why put a 1000 dollar cap on it? v8's cost alot more than a four banger civic. you give me the difference and ill show you the four banger. FUCHK DOMESTICS. ya lets cram a huge engine into a small bay and brake down every other week so your can mess up your knuckles fixing it. i dropped a fricken wrench down the side of a domestic engine bay the other day, and had to use a hanger to get the dam thing out!! rediculous.

** the new ford mustang gt costs $23,845 msrp (v8).

give me a quarter of that to spend on my 5th gen hatch and its over buddy

bah! who cares? We're all here because we like cars, right? It shouldn't make a difference whether it's import or domestic. It's all a matter of personal taste, like I happen to love Japanese and German cars, BUT I still have respect for anyone else who likes to do work on their cars.

im still pissed about missing the show cause of a shitty alternator in a grand am gt. no respect for domestics anymore, ive owned too many. the dealers(domestics) admit they make most of their money on parts and service thats why they make it so hard for the average person to work on their cars.

Ladies, ladies--stop this domestic vs import discussion. You can compare cost vs speed all day long, and get no where. Why? Let me explain.

Someone asked if you can drop $1000 into a 4 banger and make it hit 12s... the answer is yes, you can. A Subaru Impreza WRX is a 4-banger. Stick in 150 shot NOS, and for less than a grand, you can hit 12s EASY.

Someone also stated a modded 5th Gen Civic can dust a $28,000 Mustang GT. So what? I can soup up a Hyundai enough to whop a Mustang's a$$. What are you exactly proving?

Indeed, when comparing new cars, domestics generally have better value. Afterall, we are in North America, and it is only natural. If you lived overseas, however, say in Japan, American cars would be foriegn, and would offer extremely poor value. The reason why most people buy new Japanese cars is for the quality it has over the domestic counterparts. In fact, that is why we buy new cars, period.

Why did you buy a 7th Gen Civic? If you were so crazy about speed, a 6th Gen would be the way to go. Much more mods available. But a 7th Gen Civic offers things that a 6th Gen does not. It is brand new. Has fully warrenty from 0km, opposed to buy one second hand. It has more room. It is a safer vehicle. Better gas mileage. Quiet ride. More expensive interior materials.

I'm sure you could have bought a Cavalier Z24 for the same price and play with more power. But you decided to make a more considervative and pratical choice by going with a car that is more refined and reliable. Plain and simple. So stop arguing about domestic vs imports... it's all about your priorities are.
