HKS Turbo worth it????

OK......... I know everyone is looking forward to the release of the HKS turbo's for
our little civics (so am I) but do you think it's worth it?

I've read that it will be limited to a 7 pound boost adding around 60 horses.
Will there be room for more pounds of boost. because i dun see the sense
in spending over 4 G's on a turbo and having no room for improvement with
the turbo.

I dunno tell me what u guys think

Since it would have to be a custom job, you could conceivably upgrade the turbine with a different trim wheel for increased boost, or you could modify the compressor side of it, or fit larger down and up pipes, or a modified manifold, BOV, intercooler, etc...there's a lot that can be done with turbos on almost any car. What remains to be seen is whether it will actually be brought to market.

there's always room for improvement, it's just a question of how much you've built up the bottom end. they've probably determined that 7 psi was the max that the car could take for the stock bottom end. if you build up pistons, rods, crank, then you could prolly bump up to 9 or 10 psi. but still, 60 horses out of 7 psi isn't too bad at all, especially if you look at the stock 117/127 horses we have now.

Not worth it for four thousand. I will take that four and put it down on THIS or I will buy THIS which would own anything that has four wheels.

Do a SEARCH next time. This topic has come up like a trillion times already.
