integra or new civic
Oh, and screw warranties if you want to learn about a car. If a car has a problem, then you should try to learn how to fix it (not by yourself!) So many people make the mistake of buying a new car when they want to learn about how a car works under the hood... do not get a new car. An older car will force you to learn and they're easier to learn about. If you have a warranty, then your space to modifying the car is limited.
So TotalNewbie: If you want to learn about cars, get a used car... NOT a new car. They are easier to fix up unless you happen to like than WRX Impreza.
