Another bad accident
Although I wasnt in this accident, it greatly effected me. My girlfriend totaled her car 0n june 9th, one day before her 17th birthday and 2 days before our 7 month aniversery. She had just dropped me off at a friends house in Ocean City and was going back home when the car infront of her slammed on his brakes for no apperent reason. She slammed on her brakes and swerved into the left lane , but it was allready too late. she clipped the back bumper of his 85 Le Sabre and destoyed the front end of her 92 Passat. To make matters worse all the fuel lines in a 92 passat are w/ in 1 foot of the front bumper on the passenger side, and since thats where she hit him they broke and for some odd reason her fuel pump wouldnt shut off!!! Luckly she got out of her car unhurt and thank god, her car didnt catch on fire. The people in the other car weent hurt either. Now that we know why this sucked so much for her, lets talk about what this was like for me. I told her to call my cellphone as sson as she got home and when she didnt after an hour I started getting worried so my friends convinced me she was fine and we went for a drive. I get about 45 streets and my friend says "holy $hit look at that car, I dont think anyone walked away from that", at wich point I was like "is that Michelles car?, no it cant be" . After about 3 minutes my major case on denial ended and my first reaction was "FAWK!!!! that was michelles car, OMG I hope shes allright" So we caught the tow-truck driver and I get up close to the car and indeed it was hers, after seeing the car I just passed out right in the middle of a damn parking lot, mostly because I didnt even know if she was alive and to be honest that girl is my life, I may have only been going out w/ her for 7 months but Iv known her since middle school. Well anyways after I was carried and stuffed into the back of my friends car he found out that she was ok and took me to her house to see her, the next part was like a scene out of a movie. She heard us pull up and came running at me and I ran into her open arms and held her titer and closer than I ever have. Im still thinking about how scared I was that night and about how alone I felt when I didnt even know if she was alive, but thankfully she's fine.
Ill post some picks of her car when I get enough nerve to go to the junkyard and see her car again, but here is a picture of me and her at my senior prom last month.

Thats a tough thing to go though, I'm glad everything turned out okay. I know what you're going though, I witnessed my friend flip his truck right in front of me on a major road, someone cut him off, and I'll never forget it. You're very lucky everyone was okay.....
I kinda know the feeling. Anything that would put my gf(4 years) in danger like that makes me ill. That's why I recently started to nag her azz about always wearing a seatbelt. I've been in accidents w/ and w/o it and it makes a huge difference. You could hit something at 25MPH and hit your head on the windshield and die w/o your seatbelt, but with it on the accident probably wouldn't even give you whiplash.
