What is with the crappy cars in SCC's reader rides?

Is it just me, or are the reader's rides getting worse and worse in SCC? This month's issue. A 4 door focus with a horrendous body kit and boeing wing. He must have taken the groceries and child's seat out of the back for the pics I'm sure. (uh... dude... you're driving a focus)

Next up, an award winning 1991 escort. I'm surprised the sh*tbox runs, but I'm staggered at the fact someone is trying to mod it. (do they even make mods for a 1991 escort?)

And the last winner lives probably 20 minutes from me. And if I ever see him, I will kick his a$$. Oh please oh please, come race me with your 1997 dodge neon. Mr. Joe from brookfield, wisconsin... yes sir, you drive a POS neon. Neon is a girls car. PERIOD. END OF STORY. I'm questioning the manhood on this one.

Soooo, can anyone tell me WHY SCC is putting such crappy cars in their reader rides section? I mean come on, there has to be better cars than this somewhere amongst the billions of people that live in this country. Ok, I'm going to go find a way to hang myself with my mouse cord now, since I'm astonished at the crud I've just read in SCC.

Yeah I am surprised at some of the cars they are putting int there as well, I have seen better rides from your average joe that does this stuff in his spare time. Like most of us on here.
I know for some people, something is better than nothing on your car but to be "featured" in a magazine like that is just wrong.
Hell some of them should end up on Beaterz.com

I often wonder if SCC puts stuff in their magazine just to silently make fun of it.

That said, i think you're coming down a bit harsh on neons.

Okay, maybe I am coming down a bit harsh on neons. But it was more for humor purposes... so don't take a personal offense at it.

Juggaman will become famous soon enough
Yeah, I must say that I was not pleased with the Reader's Rides section when I opened up this month's SCC. I wonder how they go about picking the cars...do you think those are really the best that they have? If so, then it should be no problem getting a car in there.
