mufflers
i am just curious what is it in a muffler that makes the sound everyone is looking for, and what is the differences in different brands that makes a different sound? just something i was wonderin about
I think I remember seeing something about this on horsepower tv one time. I think part of it has to do with the type of metal and filters they use inside. Theres also baffles and channels that the air passes through which might help with the sound.

Primarily it's fiberglass. Before the whole exhaust upgrade thing became a bit more mainstream people used to put glass-packs in their cars. The most common one I can think was called Cherry Bomb. That crap was freakin' loud.
