I've read and searched but....

Can't find anything beside the DIY for painting trim pieces....ok I get the instructions, but can you use any other paint besides Plasti-Kote b/c there is no pepboys in bham.....i dont know if walmart carries it or not, but tomarrow, im going to check WM and advanced auto parts...hopefully one of them will have it...any suggestions for any other paint that would work????

for trim pieces, you can really use any type of spray paint as long as you use enough coats. You first need to sand the area down with very VERY fine sand paper just enough so the paint will cling well. After painting add a layer or two of clear coat to protect the paint from chipping and whala. Your trim pieces are painted. As for engine parts you will need to do the same thing, but with heat allowing paint. It will say it on the can and after you won't need any clear coats.

hey whaler...i tried to sand down the airvent where i plan to paint, and it messed it all up, as soon as the paint hit the airvent the paint took the grain of the sanded area and ran...i did this about the 3 week i had my car not recently...so i think im just gonna try to find that special paint to stick to plastic
