2011 Honda 2.4 liter CRV Idle Issues
2011 Honda 2.4 liter CRV Idle Issues
So I have a 2011 Honda CRV with a low idle issues. I've gone through and checked every hose, gasket etc. and cannot find a leak anywhere. What's interesting about the idle issue is it will run fine during the morning time (715 - 730 RPM's) but during the afternoon it'll drop to the mid to upper 500's low 600's. It's a drive by wire non vtec 2.4 liter. I have cleaned the throttle body, checked spark plugs, coils, etc. I've even looked at the live data for misfires etc. I'm at a loss as to what would cause this issue. I have replaced the PCV valve and hose due to age. The car does have 176k miles on it. Anyone have or heard of a similar issue?

Re: 2011 Honda 2.4 liter CRV Idle Issues
Fault codes? P2279? P0507? Other codes?
PCV hose leaking near the intake manifold?
Air tube (filter box to throttle body) not split open?
Relearn stuff
PCM reset with dealer level scanner (erases learned adaptive values, not the same as erasing codes)
Throttle position learn: Insection menu>ETCS>TP position check
then do the idle relearn

Thanks for the reply. It doesn't stall, no codes and no check engine light. I did replace the intake manifold gaskets as well which I did forget to mention when I replaced the PCV valve and hose since the manifold had to come off. Everything was torqued to factory specs. After everything was buttoned up I drove it for a while and then re-checked for leaks using a smoke machine. No leaks that I could see. What gets me scratching my head is it running fine during the morning no matter how far I drive it. The car will sit for hours while I'm at work but it never fails, the idle drops in the afternoon.

So both relearn processes should be performed now.
Then see if your problems are solved.
