my car caught on FIRE today!!!!!!!
well, today sucked. I have a whole bunch of wires going through my firewall so i dont have much room underneath the kickpanel on the passanger side. I went to put the panel back into place like i have done about a hundred times before,
well this time, as i was putting it back into place, all of a sudden this white smoke comes BILLOWING out from the undeneath the dash. my ENTIRE cabin was FILLED with smoke
.
apperently the power cable to my air/fuel ratio rubbed a hole into the insulation and it grounded against the chassis. it completly distroyed the wire. all the insulation vaporized from the power wire and it melted some of the wires next to it. luckally it didnt touch off the carpet or anything.
I think my meter is ok, it grounded out before it reached the actual meter, so i shouldnt have fried anything in the guage itself, right?

Sounds like you might want to be a little more careful. Better be glad you weren't out in public. I would have thought that you had just smoked a cheech and chong blunt in there or something!
