NEW TOY
Well today my two friends had a surprise for me. They went down to the impound yard, and for 500 bones picked up a 93 civic dx hatch. It runs great, and used to be one of our other friend's cars until it was stolen. But the good part is that whoever stole it stripped the interior, so we don't have to do it. Already made a call earlier tonight, and spoke to a friend from my unit who is going to be able to get me a b18 c5 motor j-spec. Hopefully this is a feasable swap...I believe it is, since I have seen a H22 swap in these cars which was insane...Anyways, if we get this motor, I'm gonna hopefully order some spoon internals from spoons website. We're all really excited since now we have a car that between the three of us is going to be a great project car. By the way my friend already ordered some 16" spoon lightweight wheels to slap onto the bitch once we're ready to go...

Thats cool man, gotta love when the idiots do all the work, good candidates for Worlds Dumbest Criminals.
That would be cool to do the swap, and for a good price too.
I think it was in the new Issue of Sport Compact Car that they listed all the different swaps you could do different cars. Might want to check it out, or I could try and get the info for you if you want, jusr PM me.

this is a 4th gen civic?... the B18c5 will fit easy. The 5th gens had less underhood room for them. and they squeezed a few in those .. cool luck bro..that'll be one sweet ride... Instead of getting Spoon internals. Just get their camshafts. Get a local shop to do some head work. the Edelbrock throttle body..

in the dec 00 issue of sport compact car it has an engine swap guide and it says that it should basically be a bolt on installation so it should be easy. good luck finding that engine tho.

Hey thanks for all the info and encouragement. We have found a motor. It is indeed a b18c5, and it's ours for only 1750, but it's through a guy that gets everything from a big wherehouse in japan. Gonna be a bitch to ship it. We'll figure something out though...keep you posted...
