Hey, I've seen this before!!! Motor Trend did this as sort of a joke.
I'd love to drive that car.
A Twin Turbo Z06 Vette Vs. a Blue Angels' F-18!!! LOL
Notice the jet specs for Braking, Airbags, and Warranties!!!

That must be the slowest jet in the world (10.45 in the 1320???) Anyone ever been to the pro drag races and seen the Jet drag cars? At the IDRC Longhorn Nationals in San Antonio a month ago they had the Texas Blackbirds run a few 1/4 miles for show. The Blackbirds are a pair of JET ENGINE-propelled drag cars (similar to the ones that run on the salt flats of Bonneville in the land speed record contests). When these Blackbirds rev their engine, it literally sounds like an airplane is about to take off. Everyone is plugging their ears and I half expect the PA announcer to say, "Buckle your seatbelts, ladies and gentlemen. Flight attendants - prepare for takeoff."
The Blackbirds have to shut off their engine midway thru the 1/4 mile, otherwise I don't think it would be possible for them to brake before hitting something! They ran a 7-something, but could have easily ran a 5 in my opinion.

Yep, I have subscriptions to like 5 car mags. I don't come across to many interesting articles. I found that one to be very interesting. Especially, when the editor describes is flight in the jet. That vette is awesome! 800ft/lbs of torque! I'd kill myself the first time I drove the thing.

Well, I think that the jet had to start from a dead stop too.
So of course the vette is gonna be a bit quicker.
An F-18 isn't really set up for the drag strip.
Now if the jet would have already been in the air doing mach 1......
well that would be another story. lol
