beware of our trunklids. yesterday i was in a hurry shoving my gym bag into the trunk and i guess that i didn't put it up all the way. well, the trunk lid slammed down onto my forehead as i was leaning out. i hit me so hard that i was down on the ground rolling around in pain. then it started bleeding all over the place. geeze. now i have this huge lump topped off with a huge gaping gash on my forehead. i just wanted to warn everyone. beware!

fu.ck yeh, i got smacked by that damn trunk. i got the OEM spoiler so its heavier.... i underestimated the trunk i thought it would stay at whatever angle u leave it open and boy was i wrong. the fu.cking shiet slammed thru my fu.cking head and i was so pissed i just went off.

also my mom hate the trunk of my car cuz it hit her once. same thing happened she didn't put it all the way and it just slammed down back to her.

unlike me and my mom, my fu.cking brother loves the trunk. he is always eager to get locked in the trunk. he always be saying "lock me in the trunk, PLEASE !" like 6 times. so i say fine, get the hell in there.
i have to admit that safety lock in the trunk is awesome to prevent people from getting stucked inside. i swear, without it, my brother would stop bragging.

Same thing also happened to me a while back. I was getting my backpack outta the trunk and it came down and hit me in the head hard enough to make me stumble to the ground, but no blood, just a bump on the head.

haha i actually know what you're talking about, my friend had his 2k1 lid lined w/dynamat and that thing was a guillotine on anything other than a completely flat surface. he had to take it off

Sorry to hear about that I had it happen to me too. I went to the dealer and they suggested putting struts on. Did it ever occur to you that putting a spoiler on the trunk makes it heavier? Therefore, the trunk may not hold up as well. My Boyfriend found this cool thing on ebay that allows you to open the trunk up and backwards therefore I will not have it happen anymore. Havn't done it yet but here is an example scroll down to the bottom to see the Pict.
