Brake torqueing

I dont know what this is actually called... Brake torquing, power breaking, whatever.... when you hold down your brake while reving engine then let go of brake for a boost....

How bad is this for your car??? I've heard it can damage your torque converter??? How much does that cost to replace?

well i dunno for sure, but i made this comparison in another post:

Think about getting on a bike (bicycle, not motorcycle......). Now let's pretend your bike has super brakes, and you hold these while trying to pedal REALLY hard. You're gonna break your legs right?.......

It's just as bad for your torque converter, as neutral dropping is for your tranny, don't do it...
