So yeah, who else has done this?

Yesterday, I had a record. I did it 3 times in a day.

its usually rare. I only grind when I'm being careless and put it into reverse when I'm still rolling.. and like a couple times in 2nd gear.

but yesterday, oh man. 3 times. sheesh. (was driving around looking for friend's stolen Integra)

hope my tranny doesn't fall out.

I guess I should invest in a short shifter adapter or something.

didn't someone mention it was the armest or something getting in the way?

yesterday sucked. lol. and I still can't get my sway bar on.

Try using that 3rd pedal to the far left, you'll notice a lot less grinding if u use that.. Its called a "clutch"...

hah. screw you.

its more, I thought I made a complete shift, and release the clutch that the grind occurs.

I dont just shift it into 2nd without pressing on the clutch at all...

ah well. its a joke. I know. screw you anyway.

I do it from time to time. Usually, it happens in a busy area so about 50 people hear it. Not that big a deal. It's going to happen. Especially, when you have been driving a lot and start to get lazy and tired.

This is a recurring issue in most Hondas...my 6th gen grinds too...freaking embarrasing especially if I'm trying to do a good launch

Hopefully in the 7th gens, they got rid of the other recurring problem in both power and manuals - The door tends to go off track after some time. If you need a new regulator in the door, it'll cost you dearly, along with the weatherstripping around the window frame and one, maybe two window rails. You can pop it right back in if you open up the door, but if the regulator is gone, and you don't feel like paying 200.00 to do one window, you can giggle the window as you crank it...lovely no? Honda won't do recalls on these things either even though many people complain about 2nd gear and the window issues...

It used to happy to me often when I thought I was all the way in gear. Then I got into an accident, got a new clutch among other things. Hasnt done it in two weeks now.

I've heard about the 2nd gear issue, but that window thing is news to me. Don't think I've seen any complaints about our windows here.

I had trouble switching into 2nd gear and ended up having my transmission replaced at about 3000k.

i dont have any problems with second gear, my problem is third gear doesnt fully engage once in a while, so it grinds when i let the clutch out, and then grinds again when i try to put it all the way in. it happened sometimes right after i got the car, but then after a few weeks it didnt happen much. but then it did it again a few days ago

never had any problems while shifting, only when my seat harness broke I would stall a lot cause my seat would slide back a couple of inches so my foot would be taken off the clutch or gas and stall, no problems since it was fixed, shifting has been fine
