Why does it get loud???

My magnaflow muffler with 2 1/4 inch custom piping isnt very loud until 3500 rpms and then it gets alot louder, the way i want it. why does it not get loud to 3500??

if you want loud you shouldnt have gone with the magnaflow....shoulda got apexi n1 or tanabe racing med. when it comes out

i wasn't satisfied with the sound of my magnaflow so i cut the muffler off and welded the apexi n1 muffler on.. sounds great!

Mine actually gets quieter at 4300, no matter how hard I am on the throttle it just gets dead quiet, and this right where VTEC kicks in. I was sorta expecting it to get a bit deeper or louder, not go silent. but oh well... it makes my car unique [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/IMG]

actually there wewre some forums before with people putting in those vtec lights and they said that their vtec lights light up around 35-3300 rpms so more than likely it is the vtec.
