Grey helped me out with this just recently. The painted part of the grill screws into that gray piece that you can only see the top of when you pop the hood. That grey piece is different from the piece on the sedan. I guess you could mod it up a little bit. However, I found the coupe grill painted w/ the back piece for like 42 bucks. I just can't remember where. It is one of the popular honda parts sites though.
ex. I have a black coupe and I put on a black alteeza grill meant for coupe. When removing the OEM grill it is attached to a grey plastic piece, you can see this by opening your hood and looking at the metal piece you have to push in order to raise the hood. Right around that lever is grey plastic =the grey piece. When I put my grill in, I couldn't get the gray piece to fit right so I just left it out. The alteeza grill looks nice, the only thing is sometimes bugs can get through my grill and into my air intake (stock one big metal object) so I just have to brush em out a five min just when I wash my car. s for the fitting, I believe it will, you might need to remove that grey piece though.

Coupe Grill
Ok, you see the piece that the front painted part screws to? Well, now look at that piece on the sedan.

I'm gonna try to help here
both grilles are 2 pieces.
if a sedan owner was to trade both pieces of the grille with a coupe owner, again with both his pieces of the grill,
It will work fine.
However for us coupe owners we have to find the back piece for a sedan for those aftermarket grilles, and in Canada its $103.42 CDN at the dealership. not cheap by any standard...a rip off imo.
while I am down here gonna check out the US price on it....
hope that helps too
